I found these reversible emery boards at my local grocery store, $1 for 2! When I saw them, I immediately thought the colors would match Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and of course Whisper White. I used a flower from the new Growing Green stamp set to randomly stamp on the Tangerine Tango background. The small flower in the small oval punch is from Razzle Dazzle. I crimped the bottom a bit to give the Sticky Strip a little bit extra hold.
Make a few of these to have on hand, as they make a great last minute gift for someone. Who doesn't love to get a surprise gift for no reason at all? We all do! Want directions for making these, just email me!

Greenhouse Gala purse
For those people that know me, they know that I like to take an item and alter it. Does anyone know what this started out as? Well, its a small composition book that can be found at any local drug store, office supply store or department store. I used my Xacto knife to cut the corners to an angle. I covered the book with the Greenhouse Gala designer paper. I ran the Basic Black cardstock through the crimper to add a little texture.
And how about the pansy flower? This actually is made by punching the Butterfly punch two times out of Shimmer White cardstock. Thoroughly spray the paper with water, then use the aqua painter to drop a couple drops of Elegant Eggplant and Summer Sun reinkers. Since the paper is wet, the colors run in to each other. After the paper has dried some, roll the edges around a small dowel and let thoroughly dry. Draw the lines in the centers of the flower with the Elegant Eggplant marker and attached the two together with a gold brad.
Add the flower on top of the Basic Black strip that was crimped. Add two black grosgrain ribbon "handles" to the inside of the composition book with Sticky Strip, and voila! You have turned an ordinary notebook into a purse notebook!

Altered Calendars
How many times have you gone in to your local craft store to see what is for sale in the $1 bins and ask yourself "How can I make this into a stamping project?" You wouldn't be the only person to say "yes"! My latest project is taking these 3 purse calendars and stamping a new cover for them. Sure, the cover right now is just fine, but if you can stamp a new one, why not just do it? The color inspiration came directly from each calendar and also coordinates with the inside pages.

Sweet Scoops
I made this card for my niece's 22nd birthday, it's hard to believe that she's going to be 22 already! I used the new stamp set, Sweet Scoops. The colors I used came from the Island Oasis Designer Paper, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I used Pumpkin Pie for the ice cream and Crumb Cake for the cone. I also used Rose Red on the card itself to stamp the "Have a sweet celebration". I'm happy that we now offer a stamp pad and marker in Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft).
