Beautiful Wings

I needed a card for one of my stamping friends/customers and this is what I came up with for her. It's a very simple card to make. I love the texture that the embosslit die and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder create on this card. Only the sentiment is stamped on the front, how easy can that be? Easy peasy!

Paper: Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: So Happy For You (Sale-A-Bration 2011)
Ink: Basic Black
Misc: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Dotted scallop punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit die

June stamp camp, card 5

The final card made at my June stamp camp uses the stamp set, Friends 24-7. What a fitting name also for a group of ladies that I've met over the last 5 years of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I have made so many new friends doing what I love to do, getting together with friends and just having a good time being creative. Thank you all for supporting me over the last 5 years. I wonder what the next 5 years will bring for me? I can't wait to find out.

Stamp Set: Friends 24-7
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy
Punches: Pinking Hearts border, Scallop oval XL, oval large and word window

June stamp camp, card 3

This is the 3rd card that was made at my June stamp camp. This card features the retiring stamp set, Birthday Bliss. This is a very easy card to assemble and would be a good layout to keep in mind for a quick card. And how about using the extra-large oval punch as a design feature? Add a little texture with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, add some designer paper (who said that the Jolly Holiday designer paper was only for Christmas?), assemble, and you're done!

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holiday designer paper
Stamps: Birthday Bliss
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Misc: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, extra large oval punch

June stamp camp, card 2

This is the second of my cards for June using a retiring stamp set, Priceless. I have used this stamp set SO many times, it will be missed. This was a very easy card to make, just stamp 3 flowers, use the paper piercing tool and mat pack to punch a hole for the black brad, the stem is just drawn with the Basic Black marker, run the Tangerine Tango card stock thru the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, add a little ribbon, assemble, and you're done! A quick and easy card.

Stamp Sets: Priceless
Card Stock: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black Marker
Misc: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, paper piecing tool, mat pack, black brads, black and white non SU ribbon.

June stamp camp, card 1

This is the first of 5 cards that were made at my June stamp camp. This month featured the retiring stamp sets from Stampin' Up. Even thought I am sad to see these sets retiring, I am very excited about the new catalog, you are going to love it!

This set is Because I Care, which is a Hostess Level 1 stamp set. Rather than coloring this flower, it was embossed with white embossing powder, giving it a whole new look.

Papers: Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Stamps: Because I Care, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Baja Breese, Crumb Cake, VersaMark
Misc: White embossing powder, Scallop Oval XL punch, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, white grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

May stamp camp, card 5

This is the final card that was made at my May stamp camp. This card features the Full Heart Extra-large punch. The heart, when punched out of Whisper White card stock, turned upside down, and a small piece on the now "top" cut off, what do you get? A dogs head :)

The right eye features a punched piece of Basic Grey card stock. The eyes and nose are black brads. What did I use for the red tongue? Well, that is a small piece from the 2 step bird punch. The ears are punched from the 3/4" round punch, cut in half, and glued to the head. The "collar" is a piece of More Mustard. The collar and the corners of the Sahara Sand square are pieced using the paper piercing tool and mat pack. The hair at the top of the head in between the ears is just a scrap of Soft Suede, cut very finely with scissors then "ruffed" up a bit for some texture. The head is added to the card with stampin' dimensionals.

Stamp Set: NONE!
Card Stock: Real Red, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, Soft Suede, Whisper White, More Mustard
Accessories: Full Heart extra large punch, 1/2 and 3/4" round punches, 2 step bird punch, black brads, paper piecing tool, mat pack, stampin' dimensionals
